Yesterday the Children’s Health & Environment Partnership launched at the Manitoba Children’s Museum. Nearly 100 people including children attended the festivities and joined us in celebrating this important beginning. In addition to introducing the Partnership to the public, we have launched a website – www.childrensenvironment.ca – a portal of information on children’s environmental health for families, child care providers, health professionals and policy makers.
We are looking forward to continuing some great work including an exciting collaboration with the Canadian Partnership for Children’s Health and Environment (CPCHE) based in Toronto. They will be joining us in Manitoba in February 2009 to deliver a capacity-building workshop for educators, child care providers, health and medical professionals, and others who work on the front-lines with children.
