Deep Democracy originated in South Africa post-apartheid during the period of integration when racial tensions and conflict had eroded all communities and sectors across the country. Deep Democracy is a collaborative decision-making process that integrates the wisdom in all views. It is a very powerful tool.
Our greatest challenge in business and society is creating genuine buy-in that translates into commitment. Deep Democracy participants are introduced to a model of understanding and working with group dynamics as well as tools for facilitating inclusive decisions and helping groups acknowledge and move beyond stuck patterns and blocks. From establishing mentoring programs in our changing workplaces to implementing sustainable practices to lessen our environmental impact, Deep Democracy can help us unlock the door to the future and move us forward.
